Access Groups Appeal Eldorado National Forest Travel Plan.

Dear Outdoor Enthusiasts:

My good friend Randy Burleson over at the Rubicon Trail Foundation called me the other day and said, “Hey Hawthorne! What’s the latest with the Eldorado National Forest?”

Randy knew that BRC, along with numerous others, has filed an administrative appeal of the Eldorado National Forest travel plan. But we haven’t, as of this email anyway, sent any updates announcing that appeal.

It dawned on me that BRC is not being as “Johnny on the Spot” with the updates as we need to be and that we need to get better at sending out regular email alerts about what we’re up to.

We’re going to make an effort to do so. But it’s a difficult balancing act. With so many lawsuits and travel plans coming down the pike, if we blasted an update on every item we are working on — well, that’s all we’d be doing.

In any event, we’ll try our best to improve our communication about what BRC is working on in your area. So — without further ado (and with a tip of the hat to Randy), below is a link to the latest update on the Eldorado National Forest travel plan.

As always, please call or email with questions or comments.
