I am often asked “why Amsoil does what it does and why is it better than other oils”? A simple answer is…It is all in the base stock it is made from.
Other oils are made from refined crude oil. Crude oil is placed in a Refinery and is processed there. From this process fuel, gasoline, diesel, and kerosene is extracted. Also at the lower level of extraction is oils and lubricants. These lubricants are further processed and is what we use as the lubricants in our equipment. If more heat is applied in this process the lubricants are more evaporated and becomes tar are the tar used in asphalt. What we drive on. This is because the molecular structure of these lubricants are elongated chains of molecules with light ends and easy to agitate and boil off. This process helps build sludge and friction in equipment. Thus reducing efficiency and increasing wear and tear and must be changed often. Read the rest of this entry »

2 Cool Air Vents has a link to a ‘cute’ little christmas story written by Ned Earl in Chester, CA. It includes sleds, presents and Santa Clause…what more does a story need. It goes like this.
‘Twas the night before Christmas and out in the snow
The snowmobiles sat, all in a row.
It was out through the woods, and down by the creek
The race had been planned for many a week.
Across the meadow, to the top of the hill
The jump at the bottom would be quite a thrill.
